How to grow Oso Easy Double Red Rose in Tucson & the low desert
Watering
Deep-water to ~2 ft: about weekly in winter, ~2 times weekly spring/fall, 2-3 times weekly in summer heat. Drought-tolerant once established; water deeply and let the surface dry between irrigations.
Fertilizer & nutrients
Low-input landscape rose: slow-release rose fertilizer every 6-8 weeks spring through early summer is plenty; rest in peak heat and resume in fall. Iron chelate corrects alkaline-soil chlorosis.
Pruning & care
Easy care: cut back by about one-third to one-half in late winter (Feb) to renew; minimal shaping otherwise. Self-cleaning, so deadheading is optional.
Notes
Oso Easy series rose bred for strong disease resistance (black spot, powdery mildew) and minimal care: no spraying or hard pruning required. Compact, self-cleaning, low-water habit makes it a good carefree color rose for Tucson beds and containers.
